Yesterday afternoon Town Hall representatives and technicians held a meeting with the neighbours who in their majority will be affected by the photovoltaic facilities to explain the serious situation we find ourselves in due to the uncontrolled proliferation of these facilities that they want to instal in our locality and Town Hall’s stance against its implementation.
The consequences would be irreparable in the environmental, urbanistic, touristic and lifestyle point of view.
In Almogía, there are 7 projected facilities, two of which are state-run and are in period of appeals, where the Town Hall, together with a cabinet of experts, are formulating them as a type appeal so all neighbours, affected and not affected, can make their claim.
The appeals will be available on 14th, 15th and 16th July in the Town Hall offices and on the website www.almogia.es
This can be done through electronical registry or on-site in the Town Hall registry by attaching a photocopy of your ID.
The other 5 facilities are run by the Junta de Andalucía and all the requirements that have reached the Town Hall have been informed negatively, the compatibility and opposition towards them don’t proceed.
And evacuation lines on one of them is 25 km of electrical wiring.
We are facing a grave situation and because of it we request maximum implication of all the neighbours of the village. These facilities affect the whole of our municipality.
Town Hall is in favour of renewables, but not how they want to implement them in our village, there are many alternatives such as energetical communities, auto consumption, distributed renewables generation, energy saving, etc.
We bet on an energetic transition that places the defense of the territory, biodiversity and lifestyle as a priority.
